STAFF BIOGRAPHIES

SABRINA CIARLEGLIO

When she’s not quoting “Moonstruck” and laughing with her family as they plan their next adventure, Sabrina is the President and a founder of DiLeo & Charles. With a degree in accounting, she has been in the Management and Bookkeeping profession since 1995. In 2005, she became the sole owner of a contracted bookkeeper services business, joining the QuickBooks ProAdvisor program in 2007. Sabrina’s consistency and reliability in meeting her clients’ needs arise from her loyal dedication to them as individuals; their loyalty to her in return has led to numerous referrals and a present client roster of great depth and width. And one more thing: when you meet her, ask her why she never leaves home without her watch…

WHAT’S THE MOST RIDICULOUS FACT YOU KNOW?

“It’s more general facts about royal etiquette in England from the Victorian era. I think this means I’ve read too much historical fiction or have watched too much Masterpiece Theatre.”

WHAT MOVIE WOULD BE GREATLY IMPROVED IF IT WAS MADE INTO A MUSICAL?

“This may not be a popular answer, but I despise all musicals. I will admit La La Land wasn’t horrible.”

WHAT IS THE ONE ACCESSORY TO YOUR WARDROBE THAT YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT?

“My watch. I’ve been addicted to checking the time since I was a small child. On the rare occasion that I forget to put one on, I feel lost.”

DO YOU HAVE A MOVIE THAT YOU CAN QUOTE FROM START TO FINISH?

“Hands down, Moonstruck. Princess Bride is a close second.”

WHY DID YOU WATCH IT SO MUCH?

“Cher, New York in the 80’s, a Puccini opera at the MET, what more is there to say? “

MARIO CAMACHO, EA

DiLeo & Charles gained Mario in 2020 but he has been honing his skills in the Tax Industry since 2011 and the Accounting Industry since 2015. Mario specializes in tax strategy, and we are thrilled to be bringing his experience in this, among other assets, to our clients. He has a Bachelor’s in Accounting with a concentration in Auditing and Enrolled Agent credentials as of 2021. Tax superhero by day, in his leisure time Mario enjoys spending time with his wife planning out their next far-off adventure and working on projects to make their house a home.

IF YOU WERE A COCKTAIL, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU BE?

“An Old Fashioned. It is a simple drink, but a classic favorite. Not that I’m everyone’s favorite, but I would love to try to be!”

DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM HOME

“My dream home is more of a dream work in progress… somewhere I can continue making memories with my wife and work on projects together.”

SCOTT GORRELL

Scott has been a Senior Accountant at DiLeo & Charles since 2021. A self-described accounting nerd, Scott has a Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Business. He has put his degree to good use, bringing to our team 22 years of experience teaching accounting, business law and more. When he is not creating spreadsheets and pivot tables, Scott and his wife can be found working hard on the farm that they own and live on.

WHAT MUSICIAN WOULD YOU LOVE TO SOUNDTRACK YOUR LIFE?

“Reba McEntire. She is my all-time favorite artist. Most of the concerts I’ve been to have been hers. They were ALL awesome experiences.”

WHAT IS A QUALITY YOU REALLY ADMIRE IN OTHERS?

“People who show kindness (especially to older ones), and I really appreciate people who put a real effort into what they do.“

WHAT IS THE MOST USELESS SKILL YOU HAVE?

“How fast I can count money on an adding machine – there are times it goes too slow and will give me error messages. With computers and software, most people don’t even know what an adding machine is anymore!… And I can milk a cow faster by hand than a milking machine.”

CYNTHIA SPRAGUE

Every firm needs someone who just gets people – and that’s Cynthia. With nearly 18 years of experience as a business owner, she’s mastered the art of keeping teams happy, organized, and laughing (even during tax season).

Known as our “Director of Vibes” (unofficial title), Cynthia brings energy, empathy, and a healthy respect for good coffee. She’s the heartbeat of the firm’s culture – ensuring both clients and staff feel seen, heard, and occasionally reminded to take a deep breath.

When she’s not team-wrangling or solving HR mysteries, you’ll find her globetrotting or throwing a dinner party where the food is amazing and the stories are even better.

WHAT’S A SKILL YOU’D LOVE TO TEACH OTHERS?

“Helping people boost their emotional IQ – how to better understand ourselves and others. It makes communication clearer, relationships stronger, and life a bit more compassionate.”

WHAT SMALL HABIT MAKES THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IN YOUR DAILY ROUTINE?

“One feel-good song first thing in the morning. Instant vibe reset. Give me ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ and I’ll give you 100% battery life.”

WHAT PODCAST EPISODE DO YOU RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE YOU MEET?

“The Mel Robbins Podcast- “Let Them Theory” A Life Changing Mindset Hack.”

MAYA WIEDRICH

Maya has been with DiLeo & Charles since 2019. She brings a fresh, broad perspective to her role as an Accountant. She is certified in Bill.com and skilled in various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Ivy, NetSuite and Design Manager. Her background in digital and fine arts trained her eye to look for details within a composition… whether that be Degas, or your company’s books. She knows how to create the most effective design solutions, and she applies a similar industriousness when problem solving with clients. Maya has a passion for graphic design and branding, and she spends her time out of the office sketching and reading historical mysteries.

WHAT MOVIE DO YOU CONSIDER A MUST SEE?

“The Princess Bride. It’s hilarious, it’s iconic… it’s inconceivable!”

WHERE IS THE FARTHEST YOU’VE EVER BEEN FROM HOME?

“Hawaii is the farthest I’ve ever been from home. The ten-hour plane ride is worth it if you like sandy beaches and lava flows.”

WHO MAKES YOU PROUD?

“My two younger sisters make me proud. I love that they work hard to accomplish their goals and always persevere. Seeing them mature and succeed makes me beam.”

SIERRA NILLES

Sierra is the quiet storm behind the books – cool, calm, and deadly accurate. With an associate’s degree in accounting, business credentials, and a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor badge, she brings both the skills and the attitude needed to keep chaos out of your ledgers.

She’s part accountant, part financial detective, and completely unbothered by a shoebox full of receipts. If there’s a rogue penny, Sierra will find it. And then make it apologize.

When she’s not balancing books, she’s collecting passport stamps, hitting the gym, or recharging her introvert batteries with a solid Netflix queue.

WHAT SMALL HABIT MAKES THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IN YOUR DAILY ROUTINE?

“Movement! Getting my body moving, especially in the morning, makes a huge difference in how I feel. It helps wake up my mind, gives me a boost both mentally and physically, and sets a positive tone for the rest of the day. Plus, it helps me sleep better at night, so I feel more rested and ready to go the next morning.”

WHAT PODCAST EPISODE DO YOU RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE YOU MEET?

“I can never pick just one episode, but two podcasts I always recommend are Hidden Brain with Shankar Vedantam and The Happiness Lab with Dr. Laurie Santos. They both explore how our brains work, why we think, feel, and act the way we do, through science-based insights and relatable stories. They always leave me something useful I can apply in my everyday life.”

WHICH SEASON MATCHES YOUR PERSONALITY AND HOW?

“If I were a season, I’d probably be spring. I try to approach life with a fresh perspective, optimistic curiosity, and a “fall forward” mindset. I love tapping into my creative side to bring ideas to life and help things run more smoothly. I bring positivity, attention to detail, and a genuine drive to help business owners discover new opportunities for growth and make numbers feel a little less intimidating.”

KERRY MATTISON

DiLeo & Charles happily welcomed Kerry to our Accountant team in 2021. In addition to the bright energy that she brings to our team, there is no puzzle this girl can’t (or doesn’t enjoy) trying to solve. Kerry is skilled in QuickBooks, is a certified Gusto “People Advisor” and is certified in Bill.com. With a background in retail, legal trade, and the medical field, she understands what most business models are looking for and how to help them put their best foot forward financially. Her sunny disposition pairs well with her love of the beach, which is where you can often find her on a nice summer day.

IF YOU COULD LIVE DURING ANY PAST DECADE, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

“The 50s. That Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn era where you solve mysteries while wearing a ballgown and sip champagne out of little coupe’ glasses. It seems so glamorous!”

WHO IS SOMEONE YOU ADMIRE?

“My dad. He’s the hardest working person I know and would do anything for anyone. You can’t know him and not love him.”

WHERE IS NEXT ON YOUR TRAVEL LIST?

“Spain and the Canary Islands. We had a trip planned there that we had to cancel so I would love to make that happen soon.”

MADISON VRTIAK

Madison has been a team member of DiLeo & Charles since 2020.  In her administrative role, Madison efficiently keeps all client information up to date and the data flowing. Her Associates Degree in Accounting keeps her keenly aware of our clients’ needs and how to get them where they need to be in the most effective way. When she is not answering emails or organizing information systems, you can usually find her outdoors enjoying a good book.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL SUMMER DAY?

“A day at the beach on a tropical island. I love swimming, so I am happy doing anything that involves spending the day by the water.”

WHAT CITY WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO LIVE IN?

“I would love to live in a European city like Paris to enjoy the food and the scenery.”

WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO MOVIE THEATER SNACK?

“Popcorn with extra butter. I usually finish it by the time the previews are over.”

MONICA KIELER

Monica joined the DiLeo & Charles staff in 2021. With a Bachelor’s in Language Education and being a people person by nature, she maneuvers through each clients’ unique needs with ease and understanding. Monica is QuickBooks certified and a Gusto “People Advisor”. She is especially good at assisting her clients with account cleanup projects. She is currently training for her second half marathon, with the goal of one day running a full. Whether running or writing a song, Monica loves to see her hard work pay off and is eager to apply this enthusiasm to her clients.

WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH THE HARDEST?

“It’s not the comedies or stand up. It’s the ironic, silly shared moments with the people I love that will really get me belly laughing.”

ANY FUNNY GUILTY PLEASURES?

“I hate to admit it but reality TV and celebrity news. Unfortunately, I really eat that stuff up.”

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF DAY?

“I have more energy in the mornings and am more motivated. I also like when no one else is awake so I can read and relax. It’s like a little secret moment to myself!”

SHANNON JIMENEZ

Shannon became part of the DiLeo & Charles team in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of accounting knowledge and experience. You will be hard pressed to find financials she hasn’t mastered. Shannon is certified in many accounting softwares, including Expensify, Bill.com, QuickBooks and is a certified Gusto People Advisor. She also loves learning new technology and trying to figure out how it will work for her clients. Always a team player, in her free time you will find her cheering on her hometown St. Louis Cardinals and enjoying time with her daughters.

WHAT OF YOUR FIVE SENSES WOULD YOU HATE TO LOSE THE MOST?

“My sense of taste. I love trying new foods! When we go out of town, the entire trip is scheduled around where we are going to eat.”

IF YOU COULD LIVE ABROAD FOR ONE YEAR, WHERE WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

“Ireland. It is gorgeous and would be special for me to spend more time where my grandpa came from.”

WHAT IS ONE FOOD YOU COULD EAT EVERY DAY?

“Pizza – particularly New York style pizza. I’m from the Midwest and shouldn’t admit that, but other pizzas just don’t stand up.”

TAYLOR MORMANDO

Taylor joined the DiLeo & Charles staff in 2021, toting with her 10 years of customer service and office management experience. She is certified in QuickBooks and Bill.com, is a Gusto “People Advisor”, and is currently working on her Design Manager and Ivy software certifications. Her insight in balancing a variety of businesses helps her identify and correct issues quickly and accurately. Taylor has a love for cats and gardening. She values the satisfaction of helping things grow and flourish, especially her clients’ businesses!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MONTH OF THE YEAR?

“I love May! There is nothing better than everything starting to bloom again after a long winter”

DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT EVENING

“A comfy couch, fire, delicious cocktail, and a couple of board games.”

HOW DO YOU TAKE YOUR COFFEE?

“I take mine with oatmeal cookie flavored oat milk creamer. I can’t get enough!”

SARAH FLORES

Sarah didn’t take the traditional path to bookkeeping – which might be why she’s so good at it. With a background in design, wellness, and sustainability, she’s always been driven by meaningful work. These days, she channels that purpose into helping clients make sense of their finances (and yes, she’s working on her QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification because she’s a bit of a spreadsheet nerd now).

Her past life as a business owner means she understands the messy middle of entrepreneurship – and she loves helping fellow owners get clarity, structure, and that magical “ohhh, now I get it” moment.

Outside work, Sarah’s probably booking a flight, taste-testing dumplings, or accidentally signing up for a 5K she forgot she agreed to run.

IF YOU COULD WAKE UP FLUET LANGUAGE TOMORROW, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

“I would wake up speaking fluent French :croissant:. It’s not my family’s language, but I could travel to so many countries that speak French and be able to interact seamlessly”

WHAT‘S ONE BUCKET LIST ITEM YOU ARE DETERMINED TO CHECK OFF NEXT?

“Going to Australia – Soon!”

LISA WIGLEY

Lisa is our behind-the-scenes operations wizard. With a certification in Project Management Principles and Practices (say that three times fast) and ongoing training as a Data Analyst, she brings logic, structure, and just enough nerdiness to keep things running like a well-oiled spreadsheet.

She’s always optimizing something – whether it’s a workflow, a tech stack, or the coffee-to-creamer ratio in the break room.

Outside of work, Lisa taps into her creative side with painting, music, and sketching eerily accurate portraits. She’s also a next-level host who can feed a crowd and make it feel like a dinner party with your favorite people.

IF YOU COULD INSTANTLY MASTER ANY INSTRUMENT, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

“I would love to play the piano. Especially my favorite piece, Clair De Lune. I should have taken the lessons with my grandma as a child a little more seriously.”

WHAT HOBBY IS STILL ON YOUR “ONE DAY I’LL TRY IT” LIST?

“I would love to make furniture. I want to design the piece, smell and pick out the wood, and see it come together from beginning to end. You’d find me in my workshop every day!”

SOPHIA SPRAGUE

Sophia is the kind of person who makes things look effortless – even when juggling calendars, documents, and requests that all say “urgent.” With a knack for organization and a calm, no-drama demeanor, she keeps the firm humming behind the scenes.

Her secret weapon? Attention to detail and the ability to stay cool when the printer jams again.

When she’s off the clock, she’s writing music, playing volleyball, or cooking up something delicious for her friends. Bonus talent: she plays both piano and guitar, which officially makes her the most musically gifted person in the office.

CRUNCH TIME, BEVERAGE OF CHOICE: COFFEE, TEA, OR SOMETHING SURPRISING?

“Iced matcha latte with lavender syrup. Because when crunch time hits, responding to a million emails feels a bit more manageable when I’ve got a cute drink in hand.”

YOU’RE HANDED A KARAOKE MIC… WHAT SONG ARE YOU BELTING OUT?

“I’m belting out all the songs, all night long. You’ll have to tear me away from the mic.”

WHICH SEASON MATCHES YOUR PERSONALITY, AND HOW?

“Summer – I’m all about good vibes, living in the moment, and making memories with the people I love. I aim to bring warmth, energy, and positivity wherever I go.”

SHAWN MCVAY

Shawn joined us in 2024, and frankly, we’re not sure how we survived before. With a BAS in Accounting and International Accounting, plus QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification, he’s fluent in multiple accounting languages – and real ones too.

He blends analytical skills with emotional intelligence, thanks to a background in both healthcare and hospitality. Translation: he’s great with numbers, and even better with people.

Outside of work, Shawn’s often outdoors hiking, biking, or swimming. He’s also a dedicated caregiver to his mom – and a guy who knows that a great day starts with good people (and ideally, no audit letters).

WHAT HOBBY IS STILL ON YOUR “ONE DAY I’LL TRY IT” LIST?

“Scuba diving. Actually, a number of years ago I got certified in Puget Sound, WA. It was amazing. I got to play with an octopus and drop crabs on the heads of other divers. However, I never dove again. I would like to revisit this as a true hobby and explore beautiful diving locations around the world.”

IF YOU COULD WAKE UP FLUET LANGUAGE TOMORROW, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

“I would wake up fluent in Tamil (a South Indian language). It is one of the oldest languages in the world. I’ve been casually learning Tamil with a few friends for a while now, but it is very challenging!”

CRUNCH TIME, BEVERAGE OF CHOICE: COFFEE, TEA, OR SOMETHING SURPRISING?

“Don’t get me wrong, I like all kinds of tea and other beverages. But I would have to say coffee! But not just any coffee. Nothing beats a delicious Ethiopian dry process light roast.”

CHRISTINA LIER

Christina brings a brain for numbers and a soul for music. She’s a Certified Bookkeeper and proud member of the IMA, currently leveling up with her CMA designation. Basically, if there’s a certification for it – she’s probably on her way to getting it.

As an ambivert (her word), she’s equally happy digging into data solo or collaborating with clients. She’s precise, thoughtful, and definitely the person you want triple-checking anything that’s going to the IRS.

When she’s not managing sales tax like a pro, Christina is DJing events with her husband – she spins the tracks, he brings the lights. It’s their version of balance.

IF YOU COULD SWAP JOBS WITH ANYONE AT D&C FOR A DAY, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

“They say curiosity killed the cat – good thing I’ve got nine lives! I’m always eager to see how things fit together, which is why I’d swap jobs with our firm’s owner for a day. As a Lead Accountant, I’m usually deep in financials, payroll, and sales tax, etc. and what truly excites me is solving problems and finding ways to help our team and clients work smarter. Spending a day in Sabrina’s shoes would give me a big-picture view of how all the moving parts connect – and I’d love to bring those insights back to my role (no cat casualties involved!).”

WHICH SEASON MATCHES YOUR PERSONALITY, AND WHY?

“Summer matches my personality because it’s a season full of warmth, energy, and life. I often feel most like myself when I’m connecting with others, staying active, and appreciating the beauty in everyday moments – similar to how summer makes everything feel alive and full of possibility.”

EVA BESHEARS

With nearly 20 years in accounting operations, Eva brings deep experience and zero fluff. From payroll and AP to internal controls and compliance, she’s handled it all – and usually before you’ve had your first coffee.

She’s not just about clean books; she’s about helping clients feel confident, supported, and ready to grow. Eva has a way of making accounting feel like less of a chore and more of a strategy.

When she’s not deep in spreadsheets, she’s helping clients stay ahead – and occasionally reminding us that consistency is cooler than chaos.

WHICH SONG IS AN INSTANT ENEGRY BOOST FOR YOU?

“Purple Hat – SOFI TUKKER”

IF YOU COULD WAKE UP FLUET LANGUAGE TOMORROW, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

“Chinese, gives a whole new meaning to don’t take that tone with me. Depending on the inflection ma can be mom or horse.”

WHICH APP ON YOUR PHONE DO YOU SECRETLY (OR NOT SO SECRETLY) USE THE MOST?

“The dictionary (I just used it to verify I spelled that correctly). I play word games, but I do not trust my ability to spell. I also read a lot and authors enjoy throwing in words we never use in day to day conversations.”

AVIELLE SEEBURGER

Avielle is the first face (or voice) many of our clients meet – and let’s just say, they’re in good hands. With an Associate of Applied Science degree and over four years of experience in customer service and admin support, she’s equal parts efficient and approachable.

She’s the human equivalent of a well-organized inbox: clear, calm, and always one step ahead.

Whether she’s managing communications or keeping records in line, Avielle brings precision and professionalism with a smile.

IF YOU COULD INVITE 3 PEOPLE TO A DINNER PARTY, LIVING OR HISTORICAL, WHO’D GET A SEAT?

“I would invite Vincent Van Gogh, Pedro Pascal and RM of BTS. A random group for sure, but I feel like the conversations would be unforgettable!”

WHAT’S A SKILL YOU’D LOVE TO TEACH OTHERS?

“How to properly organize and host a gathering, from intimate dinner parties to massive events of hundreds of people. I feel like it’s a lost art. Or cursive! There are going to be libraries full of old documents that people won’t be able to read since it’s not taught anymore.”

YOU’RE HANDED A KARAOKE MIC… WHAT SONG ARE YOU BELTING OUT?

“Die With a Smile by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. Even better if someone wants to duet it with me!”

SARAH MASOOM, CPA

With 17+ years in tax and accounting, Sarah brings seasoned expertise and zero intimidation. She’s been a Tax Manager, a Senior Associate, and a Managing Director at BDO – so, yes, she knows her way around a return and a whiteboard.

A proud CPA and George Washington University alum (go Colonials!), Sarah combines technical savvy with a sense of humor that makes even complex tax topics feel manageable. She’s also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars – because brains and personality can coexist.

When she’s not decoding tax code, she’s out hiking the Appalachian Mountains – or at least daydreaming about it while sipping her favorite coffee.
